Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. myOrb is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

myOrb is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • myOrb is accessible through any HTML5 compatible browser. The most common compatible browsers are Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox.

myOrb is not compatible with:

  • myOrb is not compatible with non HTML5 compatible browsers the most common of which are Apple Safari browsers and Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of myOrb relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML

  • CSS

  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

,Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of myOrb , there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for myOrb:

myOrb is available to frontline care professionals as an end to end radiology platform. During the evaluation of any part of the service a Design Thinking process is utilised which evaluates the requirements of all users. Only users of the hospitals with live deployments have been considered. No accessibility limitations were apparent.

However, future implementations may require additional accessibility enhancements because Users with many accessibility requirements have not yet been encountered and adequate provision for their needs has not yet been possible. myOrb asks about accessibility requirements with all new users.

Any accessibility requirements are prioritised into the next two-week development sprint. Once developed the solution is tested with the user before go-live. New customers can contact myOrb about any accessibility requirements through email, telephone and postal communication channels. Existing customers and users can log a request for accessibility enhancements from within the myOrb.com service.

Myorb Limited assessed the accessibility of myOrb by the following approaches:

  • myOrb utilises a ‘Design Thinking’ process for all development which evaluates the needs of all users for that organisation.
